My Translation Career
After having completed my masters’ degree in Translation Technologies, I started working at major translation companies in Barcelona to gain a deeper insight into the translation and localization industry. I was very privileged to work with first class products and learn from the best.
While I enjoyed working at translation agencies, especially as a project manager, I always knew I wanted to take my career further and aspire to lead projects from start to end and beyond. This is how in 2020, when the pandemic stroke, I decided to invest more in my own business.
So far, it has been the most rewarding journey in my professional and personal life. I can finally make space to varying kinds of work, including more projects in translation and content creation. I can help my clients directly and account for my impact in their business.
Besides that, I cannot stress more how amazing it is to have the freedom of traveling. I can migrate to my beautiful Costa Rica anytime of the year.
Ongoing Volunteer Initiatives
The goal of this project is to make available an open data repository in the combination es_CR > en for translators and researchers. Counting with this resource will bring about the development of translation technologies in Costa Rica.
This initiative forms part of the ]open project[ named “Open Data for MT in the Language Combination es_CR > en”. The goal is to localize key websites of public institutions to make information more accessible for the international tourists and investors.
